Hoops and Frames that Every Embroidery Shop Will Love
Does the thought of hooping a backpack make you loathe the day you decided to open your shop? Is “hoop burn” considered a curse word in your house? Do you have a love/hate relationship with caps? Yeah, we know: The struggle is real.
You might not know it but hooping and setting up your job doesn’t have to be this way. We’ve got three things that will solve many of your framing woes. Who knows, you might even enjoy hooping for once!
Mighty Hoop
The Mighty Hoop is a new way of clamping textiles for embroidery. Conventional clamps can cause hoop burn, and take time and constant adjustment before the garment can be ready for embroidery. The Mighty Hoop uses extremely powerful magnets to clamp the material. You can use any garment without any adjustment in tension from cotton, to poly blends, to leather.
Don’t take our word for it. Check out this video on the Mighty Hoop with GSG’s very own Liz Beavers:
Gen 2 Cap Hooping Aid
The new “GEN 2” from Hoop Tech is the next generation EMS style cap frame. The T-Bar Framing Gage gives you the leverage to stretch the cap fabric down so that it lays flat on the gage, then the GEN 2 clamps it in place for great registration. This hooping aid for caps also maximizes the stitch area, so you can practically cover the whole front of the cap with your design. It is highly durable and can be ordered to fit almost any brand of embroidery machine.
HoopMaster
Perfect for use with the Mighty Hoop, the Hoop Master is essentially an extra set of hand to help you position the garment while you hoop.Although the Hoop Master works really well with the Mighty Hoop, and hoop should work. This helpful video made by ZSK shows you how the Hoop Master works in action.
Whether you’re just starting out or have been in the industry a while, these three items will speed up production, and reduce your stress. If you already have any of these in your shop, tell us how you like them in the comments below!
